George Ernst
1907-1979

Last rites for George Ernst, 71, were held Saturday afternoon from the Plombon Funeral Home, the Rev. Ronald Gerl officiating.  Burial was in the Bohemian Cemetery, rural Cadott.

Pallbearers were Richard Ernst, Stark Maynard, Jerome Rygiel, James Miland, Charles Dusick and Rudolph Lindberg.

Mr. Ernst was born in the Town of Delmar on September 23, 1907, the son of Andrew and Petronella Ernst.  He died Wednesday evening at Victory Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

He was married to Mae Peterlik on February 17, 1942.  He was a lifelong resident of the Town of Delmar, where he farmed for many years, and was a member of the Western Bohemian Fraternal Assn. (Z.C.B.J.).

Survivors include his wife, Mae; two sons, Richard of Minneapolis and Gary, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Stark (Marlene) Maynard, St. Cloud, Minnesota and Mrs. Jerome (Sharon) Rygiel, Florissant, Missouri; one brother, Joseph, Stanley; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Peterlik and Mrs. Mary Moucha, both of Chippewa Falls; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
