Mae Ernst

TOWN OF DELMAR ― Mae Ernst, 83, of Route 1, Stanley, town of Delmar, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, at Oakbrook Manor in Thorp.

She was born Sept. 10, 1913 in Sliver Lake, Minn., the daughter of Joseph and Ann Peterlik.  She grew up in the Cadott area.

Mae married George Ernst on Feb. 17, 1942, in Chippewa Falls.  They farmed for many years in the town of Delmar.  George died on May 9, 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Irene) of Minneapolis, Minn., and Gary (Teresa) of Stanley; two daughters, Sharon (Jerome) Rygiel of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Marlene (Stark) Maynard of Rice, Minn.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Ellen (Sam) Scheidler of Boyd and Jennie Peterlik of Chicago, Ill.

Besides her husband George, she was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, at Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, with Father Eugene Smith officiating.  Burial will be in the Bohemian Cemetery in rural Cadott.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. (today), Tuesday, June 17, at the funeral home.
