Edward Michal dies in accident; funeral held here Funeral services were held in Rockford, Ill. Monday and from the Leiser Funeral Home here Tuesday afternoon for Edward J. Michal, 64, a former resident of Cadott, who died in Rockford Thursday as the result of injuries he had received in a car-train crash. MICHAL WAS born in Manitowoc and lived in Cadott for a number of years before moving to Rockford, where he was employed as a crane operator. The crash which resulted in his fatal injuries occurred at a Rockford crossing. He is survived by three brothers, James of Cadott, Frank of Fall Creek, and Charles of Eau Claire; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Fell of Eau Claire, Mrs. Gus Margason, Rockford, and Mrs. Mary Melin of Minneapolis. REV. LeROY Remmers of the Bateman Lutheran Church officiated at the last rites here; burial was in the Bohemian National Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Muska, Joe Nesvacil, Jake LeTendre, Ed. LeTendre, Jerry Prokupek and Albert Nesvacil. Music at the services was provided by soloist Laraine Post, who sang, "The Lord is My Sheppard" and "Abide With Me", accompanied by Mrs. Walter Brovald at the organ. |
