Frank Nesvacil CADOTT ― Frank J. Nesvacil, 84, of Cadott, passed away at Dove Nursing Home in Eau Claire on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, from COPD (lung disease). He was born on Aug. 13, 1921, in Cadott, the son of Albert and Josephine (Roshell) Nesvacil. Following high school graduation in 1940, Frank was employed at a cheese factory until Oct. 1942. He than entered the U.S. Army and served in World War II, being honorably discharged in Sept. 1945. While serving, he was captured by the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge and held prisoner for nearly six months. On Feb. 27, 1946, he was united in marriage to Blanche Hula of Irving, Kan., and they farmed for two years in the Town of Arthur. When he discontinued farming, he was employed by the Boyd Farmers Union as a petroleum distributor, retiring in 1983 after 35 years with the company. After retirement, he worked part time at Lacina Lumber in Cadott. Frank was a member of the Cadott American Legion Post 159 for 56 years. He played saxophone in the Ted Roshell band, He also enjoyed working with wood and making things for family and friends. He is survived by: his wife, Blanche, of 59 years; children Don (Lois) Nesvacil and Angie (Scott) Willkom; grandchildren Bryon (Dawn) Nesvacil, Jodi (Ken) Silvernail, Aaron, Chase (fiancée Christina Jacobson) and Grant Willkom; great grandchildren Matthew and Sawyer Nesvacil; sister Evelyn (Wilford) Brenner; and an aunt, Emma Stanek. Frank was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Lawrence, two sisters in infancy; and a grandson, Neal Nesvacil. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 31 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Rev. George Olinske officiating. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Cadott American Legion Post 159 and V.F.W. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before services on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Legion Post 159 or a post of your choice. |

Nesvacil Service CADOTT ― A funeral service for Frank J. Nesvacil of Cadott was held on Monday, Oct. 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott with Pastor George Olinske officiating. Music was provided by Debbie and Beth Dressel. Interment followed the service at the Bohemian National Cemetery, town of Arthur with Military Honors conducted by the Cadott American Legion and VFW. Pallbearers were grandsons, Bryon Nesvacil, Aaron Willkom, Chase Willkom, Grant Willkom, Ken Silvernail and Matthew Nesvacil. |
