Services held William "Bill" Roshell Sr., well-known Cadott area businessman and rural resident, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield last Thursday evening, June 29, following a short illness. FUNERAL services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Leiser Funeral Home, with Rev. Edwin Becker officiating. Music during the services was provided by organist Mrs. Eleanor Forman and soloist Mrs. Raymond Post. Pallbearers were William Burich, Herbert Sparkes, Albert Kaiser, Errol Huhn, John Nesvacil and John Lacina. Interment was in the Bohemian Cemetery. Born February 1, 1906 in Iowa, Mr. Roshell was married to Mildred Buresh on June 30, 1936, at the Jim Falls parsonage. They have resided at a farm residence on county trunk "S" in the East Arthur area for many years. Mr. Roshell graduated from Coyne Electric School in Chicago, Ill., on March 30, 1929. He was employed at the Manitowoc Ship Building Co., Manitowoc, and at the Killoren Electric Co. in Eau Claire during the 1940's. Bill served as electrical inspector for 13 years, for the Chippewa Valley Electric Co-op from 1946 to 1958, and for the Eau Claire Electric Co-op from 1947 to 1959. He was co-owner and vice president of the Roshell Electric Co. of Chippewa Falls. BILL WAS an active member of the Cadott Lions Club and the Z.C.B.J. Lodge of which he was a board trustee. He also was a member of the Electrical Workers Union and the Wisconsin Chapter NECA, Eau Claire division. Always interested in community projects and events, he made many friends throughout the area. Surviving are his wife, Mildred; two sons, William J. and John of Chippewa Falls; three brothers, Fred, Joseph and Theodore, all of Cadott; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Josephine) Nesvacil, Cadott and Mrs. William (Emma) Stanek of rural Boyd; and three grandchildren. |
