William Stanek Died In Farm Accident Sunday
Afternoon William Stanek, 55,
was killed Sunday when the tractor he was plowing with tipped over and pinned
him beneath it. His body was discovered Sunday evening about 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held today,
Thursday, at 2 p.m. from the Leiser Funeral Home, the Rev. David Busker
officiating. Burial will be in the Bohemian cemetery.
Mr. Stanek was born June 29, 1921 in the Town of Colburn, the son of Joseph and
Libby Stanek. He grew up in that area and attended the Huron School.
He was married to Emma Roshell on June 19, 1940 in Stanley and they lived in
Stanley for several years before moving to their farm in the Town of Colburn. He
had also been employed by the Boyd Farmers Union for the past 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Emma; two sons, LaVerne of Wausau and James of
Chippewa Falls; five brothers, his twin brother Willis of Stanley, Victor and
Edward of Cadott, George of Augusta and Theodore of Isabel, South Dakota: two
sisters, Mrs. Frank (Alvina) Buresh of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Earl (Marcella)
Wilhelm of South Milwaukee and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joseph and Ernest. |
