Funeral Services For
Jos. Vlach Held Tuesday

Funeral services for the late Joseph Vlach were held at the Leiser Funeral Home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Wm. Buresh, Sr., and Rudolph Muska officiating. Interment was made at the Bohemian National Cemetery. Ed. Stipek, Joe Straka, Frank Popelka, Jim Sebesta, Jim Peterlik, and Emil Buresh were pallbearers.

Mr. Vlach, town of Arthur resident, died at the age of 89 years at St. Joseph's hospital at 9:30 o'clock Friday evening, July 17. He had been in ill health for several weeks.

Born in Czechoslovakia on July 17, 1864, Joseph Vlach came to the United States when he was 22 years old and settled in Iowa. He later moved to Chicago and was united in marriage there to Barbara Smetana on October 30, 1907. In 1910, they came to the Cadott community and settled on a farm in the town of Arthur, residing there ever since. Mr. Vlach was a member of the Cadott Z.C.B.J. Lodge, No. 141.

Surviving him are his wife and two children; Robert Vlach and Mrs. Lud (Alice) Muska, all of Arthur. Also surviving are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
