Frank Wellner, son of John Wellner Sr. and Magdalene Muench, was born Dec 30 1893 in the Town of Edson, Wisconsin. He farmed until 1949, moving to the Lake Wissota area, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin in that year. Frank died Oct 4 1973 at his home in Lake Wissota after 79 years, 9 months and 4 days of life. Funeral services were held Oct 8 1973 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, Wisconsin with the Rev. Eugene Smith of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Edson officiating. His obituary appeared in the Saturday, October 6 1973 edition of the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram. Frank was laid to rest Oct 8 1973 in the Bateman Cemetery, Town of Lafayette, Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
