John Wellner Sr., son of John Wellner and Anna Mary Kohlwick, was born July 23 1851 in Bohemia. He immigrated in 1855 to the United States. John married Magdalene Muench April 26 1876. He died January 31 1935 in the Town of Edson, Chippewa County, Wisconsin after 83 years, 6 months and 8 days of life.1 The cause of death was coronary thrombosis, coronary and generalized sclerosis, and senility. John was laid to rest February 4 1935 in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Town of Edson, Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
