JOHN WILLIAM ZIMMERMAN


John William "Jack" Zimmerman, son of Mathew Zimmerman and Rosa Wellner, was born February 19 1909 in the Town of Delmar, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. He died December 9 1984 at his home in the Town of Seymour, Chippewa County, Wisconsin after 75 years, 9 months and 18 days of life. The cause of death was cancer. His obituary appeared in the Thursday, Dec 13 1984 edition of the Stanley Republican (page 3). Funeral services were held December 12 1984 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in rural Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin with Father Charles Sherman officiating. Jack was laid to rest December 12 1984 in St. Bridget's Catholic Church Cemetery.1

Jack married Bertha Gindt October 26 1939 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edson, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. They had five children: Delores (b.1941), Joyce (b.1946), Marilyn (b.1949), John (b.1951) and James (b.1956). After their marriage, Jack worked as a carpenter and also farmed in the Town of Delmar. They moved to the Town of Seymour in 1979.

Bertha M. Gindt, daughter of Matthew Gindt and Susan Ohlinger, was born March 12 1916 in the Town of Edson. She died May 23 2004 at her home in the Town of Seymour, Chippewa County, Wisconsin after 88 years, 2 months and 11 days of life. Her obituary appeared in the Monday, May 24 2004 edition of the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram. Funeral services were held May 26 2004 at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Town of Seymour, with Rev. Edmund Doerre officiating. Bertha was laid to rest May 26 2004 in St. Bridget's Catholic Church Cemetery.2
