ROBERT LANCOR SR


Robert Conrad "Bob" Lancor Sr., son of Alexander Lancor and Elizabeth Van Horn, was born Apr 13 1895 in Cadott, Wisconsin. He died Jun 22 1969 after 74 years, 2 months and 9 days of life. Robert was laid to rest in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Boyd, Wisconsin.

Robert served in the United States Army during the First World War. He entered military service at Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin May 28 1918. Robert trained at Camp Grant, Illinois and Camp J.E. Johnson, Jacksonville, Florida. Serving as a cook, he was assigned to Motor Truck Co. 546, Supply Train 428. Robert sailed Oct 3 1918, arriving in Europe on the 13th. He was promoted to Corporal.130

Robert married Gertrude Schreck, daughter of Frank Schreck and Lillian Fleming, Feb 21 1922 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd, Wisconsin. They had five children: Clarence (b.1923), Bernice (b.1925), Robert "Bobby" (b.1926), Alice (b.1929) and Ralph.

Gertrude Eldora "Gertie" Schreck was born Nov 12 1900 in the Town of Delmar, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. She died Aug 8 1974 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin after 73 years, 8 months and 27 days of life. Funeral services were held Aug 10 1974 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd, Wisconsin with Rev. Eugene Comiskey officiating. Her obituary appeared in the Thursday, Aug 8 1974 edition of the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram. Gertrude was laid to rest Aug 10 1974 in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Boyd, Wisconsin.

In 193046, Robert and Gertrude, with their children Clarence, Bernice, Robert and Alice, were farming in the Town of Delmar, Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
