William Floyd Van Horn, son of Barnard Van Horn and Sophia Clinesmith, was born August 27 1846 in Richland County, Ohio. He married Mary Smith February 23 1874 in Richland County, Ohio. On September 24 1912, William married Nellie Raboin, widow of his brother Curtis. William died December 19 1927 in Greenwich, Ohio after 81 years, 3 months and 22 days of life. The cause of death was stomach cancer.1 His obituary appeared in the Friday, December 23 1927 edition of the Cadott Sentinel (front page). Funeral services were held December 22 1927 with Rev. A. D. Lehman officiating. William was laid to rest December 22 1927 in the Cadott Brooklawn Cemetery, Cadott, Wisconsin.2
